Sandi Komst Art
Sandi was born in Nova Scotia, but since 1977 has called Prince Edward Island home. Out Of Our Minds Gallery in Beach point at the eastern end of P.E.I is the studio gallery and is open year round, 7 days a week, by chance or by appointment.It was not until 1985 that Sandi decided to pursue her lifelong ambition to paint full time. She is primarily self taught but has studied with accoumplished internationally known artists.
She is a sought after instructor for workshops in acrylic, oil and watercolor. Her compositions have been shown in many juried, group and solo exhibitions for which she has won numerous awards. Works are held in both private and corporate collections throughout Canada, United States, Holland, Germany and France.
The Maple Grille is very proud to display many of Sandi's recent art in our dining room. Currently the walls are decorated with Sandi's new series "Girls Just Want to have Fun". Each of the paintings featured at the restaurant are available for purchase.
Update, The Maple Grille has only three painting left from the "Girls" Series, but have just received some more of Sandi's very popular "Rain" series.
